PLACENTA PRINTING

At a recent birth, a client had asked me to make a print with the baby's placenta as a keepsake. It was important for her to honour the organ that keep her baby fed and nutured while in utero. It is the most amazing organ! And because I enjoy many forms of creativity, this art becomes part of the sacred journey of the significance of birth for me.

A placenta print is not something everyone wants or needs. It is a very personal decision to have this memento.

The print can be done from the maternal side, or more commonly, the fetal side as it typically reflects what is known as the 'tree of life' imaging. Printing can be done shortly after birth as a 'blood print' and/or with food colouring (tailored for you) at a later date. I would bring it home and then deliver to you at a later date.
